How to Install a Dual Fuel Cooker ?

Since the concept of effective model home kitchens starts getting in trend. The dual fuel cookers also get high value in the market. Similarly, installing dual fuel cookers can provide a reliable and easy cooking experience to the kitchen owner. Dual fuel cookers have developed well-demanded options for people who cannot afford much on home designing. Installing fuel cookers can be easy if you follow the instructions provided in the manual.

However, it is preferred that it must be installed by a Gas safe registered engineer, according to safety regulations. Or it should be installed by qualified engineer according to IEEE regulations and local electricity provider’s rules.

The dual fuel cooker range can be installed in a normal kitchen or open kitchen, but not in such room where bath of the shower is installed. It is preferred to install the cooker in such areas like;

  • -          Good light
  • -          Sufficient air supply
  • -          No draughts

While installing you need to be careful about the gap which is needed on both sides of the cooker. Install your cabinets to the sides of your dual fuel cooker in UK because it is well insulated. To allow some space for cleaning and servicing, you should recommend a 2.5mm gap on both sides, also to give cooker some space to move. Range cookers of other manufacturers usually need a larger gap to deal with heat damage to the cabinets.

The electrical supply depends on the oven sizes of the cookers. Range cookers with electric hobs need high electrical supply than other dual fuel range cookers. Always check the manual on a webpage or from the box.

Moreover, you don’t need bracket because the weight of range cooker ensures it remains in place. However, you have to ensure the strength of the floor.
